No I mean everything that has gone on in this thread up to this point. (and I do mean every thing)
So now that you have finally put ôThe Full Storyö up.. lets look at the key points of the problem..
your corp was feeling put upon and feeling that their generosity was being taken advantage of, your corp mates loaned him money and did not feel he was managing his isk wisely and there for in the 3 days that he was in your corp you feel he should have paid back all the isk and then some.

When Celestial Demon joined the corp, he was very low on cash. We as a corp agreed to lending him some money in the beginning to get him started.
yes, and that was a mistake by the people who loaned him the money twice. IÆve made that mistake with others before. But that is why you never speculate with money you canÆt do with out. On the other hand.. he was in your corp for 3 days at this point?

Now, to this deal that he found. He simply found a deal for a Vigilant which was being sold for 20mill. CD didn't have the money to buy it though, and so he asked for help and another corp member fronted it. Is that member not entitled to anything from that? 50/50 sounds fair, and Celestial Demon's half was used to repay all of his debts. That was his share.
And now to the meat of the complaint on the ôScamô. Getting a 50% return on an investment that you donÆt do any work for is good. And lets see 20 + 50% = 30 mil. That seems more then fair.. 100% return on investment.. well that seems out of this world.. Especially when no work is done for it..
So 50/50.. isnÆt exactly fair.. itÆs more like retribution for feeling like Cel was taking advantage of folks..
Secondly, taking his ôShareö and payÆn off his debt for him.. well I can understand why he would be upset with that.. I would too. I am an adult.. I pay my debts all the time.. so far.. Cel has too with interest. So again in 3 days you decided that he was not going to pay you back and you took advantage of his trust. Claiming that he has violated yours.. in the 3 days that he was in the corp.

The total profit from the deal was about 95mill, and his debts amounted to 45mill. So, taking his past history with money into consideration, we chose not to give him that money directly and instead repaid his debt for him to the respective corpmember, <snip> Celestial Demon was not happy about this though, he felt that he deserved the entire profit and offered to pay Bai ZongTong only 5-10 mill of it for fronting 20mill.
That is a 50% return on investment. Should be happy that people are that generous. And lets see that would have left Cel with 65 mil that he probably would have paid 45 mil back to the first people and then blown the rest on Eve Poker.. But of course you never let him get the chance because you already condemned him after being in your corp for 3 days.

50% is quite generous towards CD, in the real world the investor gets most of the profit and the one putting in the work is the one getting a small percentage that is simply a privilege of having more money than others.
as for not paying the loans back well 3days is a very short time and a bit unreasonable but CD didn't use the money for the purpose he borrowed them for so nothing unreasonable in taking the money out of his income. If you borrow money for a house and then go to Vegas and spend them all real world banks will be very unhappy with you and take the money from your account on payday. ____________________________________________________ Reality is for those who have no imagination. |
